Designed for older adults with dementia and psychogeriatric conditions, the Cottages were the first of their kind in the Lower Mainland. They provide private, respectful and dignified care.

The Cottages are really eight individual homes. Each cottage houses only seven residents, and each cottage has its own “theme”—River, Garden, Holly, Prairie, Maritime, Maple, Sage and Harvest.

A communal living area with a fireplace creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes residents feel truly at home. Family and visitors feel welcome and relaxed and are able to spend quality time with their loved ones, even preparing and enjoying meals together.

A unique and thoughtful touch in every cottage is a glass “memory box” beside the door of each room. Holding cherished personal belongings, these memory boxes can stimulate discussion and fond memories, or help a resident to identify his or her own room.

All of the Cottages are staffed with our caring and dynamic team of Daily Living Assistants, Service Support Workers, Recreation Therapists, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses. Residents of the Cottages have access to the services of our Social Worker, Physiotherapist, Music Therapist and Dietitian with the Complex Care Lodge Program.
